Re: i do not doubt a "being" beyond our ken.
Xeno-x,
I can find little reason to disagree with your construct of GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM. In fact, there are ample reasons to consider the UNIVERSE as an orgranism!
However, I simply believe that you do not take it nearly far enough. And that there is little basis for making such a definitive statement that the God who "created all and is good, etc, simply does not exist."
If we accept the universe as an organism, we then still are left with the same old questions: Who, or what, created this universe in the first place?
Has it always existed, when Science tells us it has not? Does your universe take the place of God?
Can we not learn a lot about the artist from the pictures he paints? Or about the writer from his writings?
Can we then understand many, many things about the nature of God from His own creations?
I believe we must not stop untill we address the very beginning!
For me, there is only one conclusion:
A God of Super Intelligence, with Will and Knowledge aforethought, started it all!
Thanks for your comment. It was appreciated, as always!

Re: I believe in God...
"More than one God. Could that be a reality do you think?"
Yes, there could be a real basis for this conclusion, depending on how specifically one may define "God." I, personally, believe that the Ancients had much more than a little reason to believe in many gods, that mythology is much more than just the "primitive" reasoning of a simple people, but, rather, has a real basis in fact!
I believe that the One Supreme God, long before He created Humans, maybe even millions or billions of years before, created immortal beings which we now refer to as "Angels." I further believe that He, the Master GOD, sent those Angels to Earth to become our own mothers and fathers, and they, the Angels, lived with us as humans for many, many years, thus becoming the basis of all ancient "mythology."
It would, therefore, be only "natural," because of their superior knowledge and wisdom, for us humans to elevate them to the status of Gods and to erect statues of them, and I think that is precisely what we did, in fact, do! Eventually, however, according to a predesigned master plan, these angels did leave us to ourselves.
There is much more here than I have time in a comment, to pursue, but maybe later in a post of its own!
Thanks for your comment!

I believe in God...
...because I feel in my heart the soothing, comforting belief of a power beyond my imagination. But is there only
one God is the question, I believe! I'm reading now about Greek Mythology and it opens another door to other visions of many Gods. Someone suggested that I read Hinduism among other religions and they also believe in more than one God. Cound that be a reality do you think?

i do not doubt a "being" beyond our ken.
it is the definition that i have trouble with
it is defining that "being":
because that "being" cannot be defined or truly imaged.
see my blog GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM
that is how I define God -- as the Universe which is an organism.
the typical male anthropomorphic male that created all and is goiod, etc. simply does not exist. If you read some of Jesus' statements, you will find that he himself does not bleieve in a god that rewards good and puishes evil -- his god is a neutral god.
the god i understand transcends the image that has been sculpted for us.
