Adding insult to injury
Your brothers misfortune (sorry to hear about) presented an opportunity for so many to do the right thing and help it's shameful they failed miserably. If people cared more about each others pain, the misfortunes of life would not seem so bad. Sad that so many could pass by so easily.

This is such a shameful story, although not hard to believe. Thus why on the anniversary  of 9/11 the T.V. stations play over and over the planes hitting the Twin Towers...as if we need to gawk and see the horror over and over and over again. I never forgot it, it's the wall paper of my eye lids, why in the world would I want to see such horror replayed? I don't however the majority of Americans were raised on television and it's just not reality...and or when ever we see an accident ahead we slow down to see, but how many stop to offer assistance? I do. My brother in law was hit by a speeding truck, smashed to smitherings and no body stopped, my grandmother was also hit by a truck and no one stopped to help her either...this was in the day before cell phones...none the less this makes your experience all the worse for those who witnessed your brother lying their in agony could have dialed 911. God bless your brother and your family.

I am also stunned...
...that the police would not even stop to enquire if he needed assistance. What is this world coming to? Are we losing all our compassion for one another? God help us if we do. I pray for your brother and hope he will have good tidings no matter what. God bless.

That is incredible. Have you thought of calling the media and telling them about what happened to your brother? I am stunned that the policemen would pass him and keep going. I hope he will be doing well soon.
