kooka_lives - I take offense to the word Christmas because it contains the
word "mas" which we all know is Spanish for "more".
I think the name should be changed to Christmenos, which is Spanish for "less" because our societies could all do with a lot less in material goods at Christmas . . . isn't that what these holiday name controversies are about? Find something stupid to get upset about and forget the important aspects of the season?
Merry Christmenos everyone.

I don't know of anyone who is offended by 'Merry Christmas' and that was never the point of using 'Happy Holidays'. "Happy Holidays' is inclusive of all beliefs and so makes sense to be used by those who wish to be inclusive of all people. 'Merry Christmas' while not offensive, shows a very distinct favor towards only one group and is far for being inclusive.

Are Christians Really Offended By 'Happy Holidays'?
Kooka_Lives: I'm not offended by Happy Holidays but why are so many people offended by Merry Christmas?

Well...
As an agnostic I am not offended by "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" does include them all, so I don't know what the big deal is. We all know it's Christmas, we all know it's a holiday after all. Bill is just trying to get attention.
