I grew up saying Merry Christmas. I still say that. Yet I understand that my Jewish friends do not particularly care about that concept so I say Happy Chanukah to them. If I am unaware of the other person's preference, I say Happy Holidays. They all have their place. If we must love our neighbour, we must understand their preferences and accord them respect for their preferences. It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Stay well.
