I am truly humbled by your kindness. You can become a great poet if that is your desire. May I suggest: 1) read several different poets on a regular basis, 2) rewriting is critical, a poem gets better each time {I personally rewrite a poem a minimum of ten times}, 3) utilize poetry terminology site and practice a variety of forms, 4) develop your own style, 5) the French have a saying and in part it says: nature not study develop the poet [become aware of your surroundings, especially communing with nature, 6) in thee words of Langston Hughes, circa 1964: 'hang yourself poet in your own words, otherwise you are dead.' I hope these help you attain your goals.  sam
