All wise words..have you been to Rishikesh ?..Diwali was in Nov..it is the biggest Hindu festival..it means festival of lights..all over India there are lights lit up, people wear nice clothes, distribute sweets..just like Christmas here..the White House has started celebrating Diwali in recognition of the fact that Indian Americans, now close to 3 million, have become part of the American mainstream due to their active involvement in so many different professions & communities..I feel blessed to be a part of that community as I love the people & lands of both India & America ! blessings - Ash

...and do not wait for their equal response if it is not immediately forthcoming. Do it to greet the world and show thanks U appreciate the full 24 hours LIFE/God gave us. Christians --those who practice -- also start the day Glorifying God, thanking God for the day-being alive--and then asking God blesses all our actions and thoughts along His footsteps. Namasthe--when ois Diwali; my friends celebrated in August or September I recall. Is there another festival that coincides with Christmas. I would love to learn. AUM-amen!
