Editorium, we live in a capitalist society that is ruled by consumerism.
The more products of all kinds (including greeting cards, they have them now for every possible human event) corporations can manufacture, and advertising can convince us of the need to buy, we'll do it. We are like lemmings. It all costs energy, consumption=waste=global warming=selfdestruction. Happy Holidays;-)
