RedStatesMan - even when you attempt to leave an amicable comment, it

doesn't make a lot of sense.

Who said I was bringing this to an end and who ever suggested that I thought I could change people's minds about what they believe? I don't want to change people's minds, all I want to do is inform some people that if they push their religious beliefs too hard on others or into the society that I live in, they will meet with resistence. Again; your insistance that I have called people weak and stupid or have attempted to act as an expert on some matters, are entirely in your mind. These are all assumptions based on your prejudices and may possibly denote a penchant to confuse blog author's opinions.

It is apparent that you have read very few of my posts in this blog.

The fact that you are bringing this to an end shows maturity. How does it show maturity? When we are young we believe we can change people's opinions, change the world and sometimes change others' beliefs. As we age we realize that this is foolish at best. The reason I post on blogit is simply to voice my opinion. Others can disagree or agree. It all comes down to everyone has an opinion and changes are rare. Everything in this universe is not known. It is foolish to act as though we are experts then call others stupid or weak or whatever; for that is childish. Every person has different life experiences for whatever reason. However, I will give you a grade of A on trying to accomplish the impossible.

If I have been on a mission, I sure don't see where I have accomplished anything.

Talion - this site is the loser in your leaving but I guess we all knew it

was inevitable.

I've already stopped into your new blog in the public blogasphere and bookmarked it. I will definitely stop in from time to time.

As for the points you make pertaining to this post, we are on the same page regarding these things. I've often stated that the most we can hope for is to plant a few seeds of food for thought. I wouldn't want any more influence than that.

Your mission must be accomplished if the time has come to end this era>>>>>sam

Well, I can safely say that one thing you've accomplished is you've provided others who have similar religious opinions a place to "rage against the machine." Contrary to what some believe, you can't change opinions nor the world with a few mere blog postings, however, you can possibly open a few eyes and minds, reveal to those who've never encountered a nonbeliever the "lost in the darkness" myth concerning us. The ones whose eyes and minds are hopelessly closed are quick to tell you of this fact under the same old lame disguise of trying to save your soul. However, the ones who you've touched may never say a word. All you can do is hope they're really out there.

This is my final day as a member. I've decided to "let the loonies have it all," so to speak. This site has wonderful potential that I've finally realized it will never attain. I've waited long enough. It's time to move on. I'm going to miss some things, of course. The next round of Captain Righteous vs. the Iconoclast is only one of them. I've left a link to my new blog on my old one here. Feel free to pop in some time.
