This is so, I do feel they are removing one barrier just to make way for another storm to surface, so to speak. Thanks for input and comments. Take care.

Laydi
I sure hear what your saying here Laydi, as I know cultures from other societies, as your own, do have or exercise more stringent double standard and inequality issues as you've explained. Keep up the plight Laydi. Take care.

Rich
Yeah, it's an awkward one for me to think is it right or wrong etc. After weighing up the pro's and con's in my head, I'm more drawn to the conclusion that I feel things should've been left as they are and more effort spent on the government to not only educate the children more but also parents and adults alike Rich. It does seem to me that it will only encourage more unprotected sex, as I personally feel that the youth society of today are more concerned about getting pregnant than catching any STD's. If you look at it this way, they say it's to curb unwanted pregnancies & reduce abortions etc, but for this to be happening then there must be a lot of unprotected sex going on in order to get pregnant, so by eliminating the chance of pregnancies, does this not encourage more unprotected sex. They say they must pratice SAFE sex, well this will just be safe guarding pregnancies, what about all the risk's involoved.
Thanks for the read/comment Rich, oh and sorry but I seemed to start going on here. Take care.

wow
well in my opinion its giving youngsters a licence to sleep with whom they want when they want with non or very little consideration to STD's let alone things such as HIV or even aids..perhaps by giving our young people so much power we are reducing the rates of abortion and unwanted pregnancies but perhaps raising the rate of std's or other sexually transmitted diseases with life threatening consequences..the good old english government eh?

Eyes, U know UK but here, youth R kids when they do crime.Otherwise adults
with equal rights!!!
Our culture fosters doubole standards and making excuses for anyone we like; denying those who are diffreent even the courtesy of our listening (or not even allow them to have ice in winter). I am all for treating youth as youth, and if they need rights, give them the vote AT EXACTLY THE SAME AGE U WISH THEM TO KNOW ABOUT SEX AND USE BIRTH CONTROLS. SHALOM

Ariala
Yeah I know a bit of a shock Ariala. Ok I know it's only available to those of legal age, which if I'm right, it is 16 here, but giving that sort of freedom to someone of such a tender and inexperienced age, seems just a bit on the cautious side. Thanks for comment and take care.
