Who are the rich?
In a recent article I read that households with an annual salary of 100K - 150K are considered upper class wealthy. What! Has anyone looked at the cost of living lately? Certainly people in this income bracket can afford a little bigger or nicer home and two cars but they are no different than the 50-60K income bracket 10 years ago. 33% of my income go to taxes and I still pay a couple of grand at the end of the year. I don't wear designer clothing or drive an expensive car (no more expensive than the average person and it is used), my kid goes to public school and I am not rich! Now, I have rich friends whose annual combined incomes are in the millions (I even have a billionaire friend), they never pay taxes at the end of the year and I am still trying to figure out how they do it. One of my millionaire friends told me last year that I simply did not make enough money to warrant the tax breaks!
