It's very sad
... and my heart really goes out to those they leave behind who often feel guilt for not being able to help or see the signs in time.

the sad thing is that people who commit suicide are not thinking rationally
but emotionally... if they were then maybe they could see that there is hope and there are ways to help... it breaks my heart... I was a counselor for years and I taught a class on grief... my one goal was to make sure everyone cried and grieved over a loss... we need to grieve in order to move on... i loved your post and hope many many people are helped by it

I had a nephew who committed sucide a couple days before Christmas...I think this time of the year is especially hard on people for some reason...But knowing the signs is a good thing...Good post lilane
