Lady
All you can do with them is pray for them. It is boring to be around those who are drinking heavily while you are sober. Don't join them. May God open their eyes and deliver them from the craving.

I miss the occassional rum and coke
but really drinking to the point of getting drunk is all very silly to me.

From one non-drinker to another
I quit drinking when I was 18...pretty much as soon as I could legally buy my own booze (ironic, I know!). My family constantly hounds me to "have a glass" with dinner, or enjoy a nice night cap with them. And when Mark's buddies come over, they spend half the night trying to "force" beer down my throat.
Sure it's annoying, but remember - while they're all suffering from liver failure or some other drinking related problem, we'll still be bouncing around, happy, healthy and sober!
