I'm almost there, ginnie. The headaches aren't so bad now and I can actually see into the distance with my new eye. Take care, ginnnie.

I love it S_R. My misery companion only gives to visit intermittently. Send yours off on vacation.

Good stuff, johnmacnab. Misery is my constant companion. I do wish
she were a bit more independent...

You are right again, majroj. I'll look out for the book when I'm browsing. Thanks for the info.

I do like the 'eternal now.' I don't see how any sane person could take a trunk full of books to a shop and not browse through the trunk first. I'm glad I have company in this little corner of whatever and wherever it is.

Macnab, that would ruin it for you.
It's a Steven King novella. Don't watch the tv movie first.

came and went while you were in absentia... I'll post another bit soon.

Mac, I'm glad you're back to the blog keyboard, and I hope to read
more interesting posts like this. I read Enders Game by accident. My son's lovely and adorable girlfriend Linda donated a couple boxes of books to the library's used book shop by way of the trunk of my car. I naturally looked through them and took out a handful, a kind of finder's fee. (stole 'em, ok? get out the handcuffs, haul me to jail). So your being over sci fi and picky about what next makes perfect sense, not a hint of weird... And the idea of time crumbling behind your footsteps is existential theory made concrete, hardly weird. Or else there's more than one weirdo blogging in this little corner of the eternal now.

I thought it was more weird than funny, ginnie, but I'm glad you liked it. Wasn't Steve too jet lagged to appreciate it?

I looked up the 'Langoliers' majroj. Sounds like a complicated storyline, and something like my post. What happened when they stepped outside at the end?

Omigod! This is hilarious Mac!!
Now I know what you should be writing...one of those "Life is" books! Put a picture of a monkey or a giraffe on the front and it's a best seller! Really! I gotta read this aloud to Steve who should be very receptive as he's working on an Asian jetlag! Hehe! He's making coffee in the kitchen...I'll holler out your post!
