Glennb..I agree with your comment about today's media..but "complete
anarchy" seems to be too radical a solution..or is this another one of your ploys to lure people into a debate..it's ok with me if it is..just trying to gauge your real persona..please do keep the namecalling out though - Ash

Glennb

It can be a source of insight for some people. I like to see things with my own eyes if I can. I'm not able to go out to find out for myself. So, I have to depend on what I have to get an idea of what's going on in the world. I only talk about what I've seen with my own eyes, not what people say. I have total disregard for our government, but I can't do a thing about it, but vote. I can't personally change anything that has happened in the world, even though I wish I could. I feel for everyone.

I think the boob tube is what you get out of it. When they show shots of the military interacting with the people, those are real to me, no matter what anybody says to the contrary. I can see real emotions when I'm looking at them. And that's what I talk about, real emotions, nothing else.

Troosha,
Do visit again. I would say there are far too many more such individuals. It is safe and comfortable it seems for them not to enjoy the satisfaction of critical thought.

Although not American
I know a handful of people who are so glued to the TV ~ using it as their sole source of information from a political to environmental perspective.  They suck up the biased or skewed information it continually spews out like empty sponges.  It's almost as if they've forgotten how to think for themselves.

Corbin Dallas,
I am not sure that is a relevant or valid comment! You seem to be very young and myopic??

Sam444,
"Total" anarchy leaves no room for shelter to the purveyors of anarchy.
