Preaching to the choir, Robbrian. Did you see how those bastards were
salivating on Wall Street just at the thought of another quarter point drop in interest rates?  It's disgusting.  And the word for this administration?  (Well, besides "corruption".) That's right.  "Deregulation."  Scary stuff...

You have no idea of how true that has been since 1913
Those who own America do indeed govern it.  However, it is not governed by the peoples' representatives.  It is governed by the people who finance the elections of representatives. Witness the gradual but certain shift from wide spread competition in most sectors through the 1950's to oligopoly and monopoly.  This occurs in the absence of enforcement of the Sherman Anti-Trust laws. Beginning with Regan, the anti trust division of the Justice department has all but been disbanded.  Legislation deregulating industry after industry ushered in more predatory acquisitions by domestic and foreign survivors of merger wars.

At the top of this fascist corporate control Board of Directors sits the Federal Reserve Banking system.  The 3-4 hundred American and foreign families that own these private banks control the general policy direction of every President since Woodrow Wilson, who by the way, after being convinced by Bernard Baruch to sign the unconstitutionally enacted Federal Reserve Act of 1913, lamented that he had unwittingly transferred American sovereignty to private bankers.

Look around you today and you can observe that every single monopolist and or oligopolist head of any of the top 250 corporations in the US is also an stockholder in one or more banks of the Federal Reserve Banking System.

I'm just sayin' we vote but we really don't count.

The only times in the past 125 years that the Bilderberg Group could not control who went into the White House were the presidencies of Harry Truman, Ford, and Carter. Kennedy was not supposed to win. But they fully intended to insure that he did no real harm to the financial order.  When he tried to challenge the petroleum industry by his support for massive investments in hydropower from ocean dams, (Passamaquody in particular) he threatened the billions of future dollars that the fossil fuel industry would earn absent a competing source of energy.  That technology would have spread globally, relegating fossil fuels to a secondary role in the supply of energy to world.

So my friend, we must be careful about the judicious words of the past when applied to the reality of the present.

Give them some time, Temple, and they'll figure out a way to auction off
their votes on eBay.  Hell, they already go to the highest bidder...

What exactly did JJ mean? Since it is still a very small percentage of us who may be deemed rich, the others should claim their right of ownership.

Yep, old white guys own it and old white guys run it.
But if you can help me find it on say, eBay, I could see what it's going for!
