Books, in my family are a good bet for gift giving, although I have noticed as my parents age, they have a lot of books...too many books and so my father has recently donated over 1000 books to a local library. For gift giving I think better would be a Book gift certificate so that your loved one or friend can pick thier own choice of book, because no matter what book we might think is earth shattering and must be read by all, guess what, most often, even our best friends are never quite on the same page. AND as far as that 'contact sport' situation that befalls us this time of the year, well I'm too old for contact sports, don't like em unless it's all about sex and sooooo All year round when I see something special for so and so, I pick it up, put it in this huge Tupperware container I have, and I collect all year round so come 'the season' I pass the malls and honk, 'Suckers!' Kidding...but I sure as heck don't sign up for contact sports and call it something else, like 'Merry.'
