To answer your question: Yes, I think Science not only can, but will, answer your questions, once it decides to address them, which, by the way, it is now in the early stages of doing.
One thing is certain: these answers will come from, as SAULRELATIVE says, truley wise men and women, NOT from the ATHEISTS, who are already satisfied with their own answers! Atheists, in this respect, are about as useless as "teats on a bore hog!"
By the way, speaking of errors, which admittedly do exist in all the world's "religious" books, Evolution, as a means of answering these questions you ask, is so FULL of holes that it could very well have been writtten on Swiss Cheese! If any pure Atheist would try even one tenth as hard to rip up Evolution as he does the Bible and It's followers, he could literally "blast it to smitherines!" Why don't they, do you think? Is it because they are so willing and eager to accept, because of their own vanities, alternate "theories?", or is it, as they would have us to believe (good luck!!!), they are so damed smart?

actually, there are two creation stories in Genesis, and many readers
consider them to be contradictory. Just food for thought.

Genesis is a metaphor for emergence, springonion. It was written by
fairly intelligent men who used the thoughts of their day to try to explain that people have purpose. Without light we stumble blindly through darkness. We're more intelligent than animals, so we have dominion. Not a difficult task to write something like this if you're truly a wise person.
