Re: Interesting read. I got this notion not so long ago that maybe what is seen
your comments were appreciated and helpful.  Its true about the news, i try to tune into pbs.  Your comments were so interesting, and yes about the only way you can avoid a stressful workplace is to be self employed.  Although its getting increasingly harder to compete against the big boys. I think you are absolutely right about staying out of debt and have been cautioning not to overspend this holiday season.  Great comments and lots of good ideas came out of them.   thanks

Interesting read. I got this notion not so long ago that maybe what is seen

on TV, heard on radio, read in headlines was not all there was, just the topics which made the greatest amount of money because the broadcasting media is highly competitive and a greedy lot, but worse of all, the majority of people 'fed' on negative media; crooks, disasters, devastation, etc.! I began looking for information, articles, newscasts more out of the competitive market, more non-profit, paid for by sponsorship, ect. One might refer to it as non-secular (meaning out of the grub-stake path of fortune 500); not necessarily religious because many, large, highly broadcasted, religious affiliations have their hands in the grub-stake as well; supporting such massive affiliations requires big bucks! So, if I knew the media was 'bias' I wouldn't watch or listen.

I also know the job market is highly competitive and having three 'sets' of married, young adult children, working in the public sector, have heard horror stories of back stabbing among employees, intolerant employers and abuse. All My Children (my private soap opera) were raised as hard working, honest and dedicated, but also believing in self value. Not one is unwilling to walk out on any position where they are being 'stabbed in the back' or willing to tolerate such insolence (that is why I'm in debt, lol), they've borrowed from mom, unwilling to sacrifice their dignity or self worth to stay in any position. It is sad; because I DID tolerate such in my younger years out of desperation; one of the reasons I became self employed. I never wanted any of them to feel that desperation!

Also, I believe having a belief that when one door slams shut, a better door is waiting open. I've tried to instill in them to stay out of debt so they are not dependent upon that next paycheck just in case they need to walk out. Each has 'tried' many positions these past few years before finally fitting comfortably...one is still figiting in an uncomfortable position.

I've been reading you. You have a great and positive attitude, good writer as well! ~Blessings~
