It takes more than a home and two parents now to raise children. We have to keep them safe from school damages, take away the toys and probably watch them all the time. Oh my!

The toy stores in our area didn't have any to send back.......
after hearing this report, apparently, they were all purchased by local high school students.

Ignorance is bliss
All the worrying will shorten our lives far more than the bits and pieces of poison we imbibe from everything that likes life worth living.

This is a country that in ancient times fed the blood of baby girls to the royal Pekignese (sp?)....women's feet formed into the shape of lotus flowers......I know all cultures have had, and still do, similarly brutal practices in their histories.....but there has always been something about the juxtaposition of the incredibly inhumane with the sublimely beautiful, that has fascinated me about Asian cultures....so, toys mixed with date rape drugs do not really surprise me.  And, you're right, me thinks they have escaped far closer scrutiny than they should have had....

Actually, that piece is a bit misleading! There are recalls, and then there a recalls! To throw them all into the same pot gives the wrong impression! The truth is, China ain't getting enough of a bad rap...

Open Mouth  Thanks for the WARNING .. Seriously, the more I hear and read about China's actions .. it seems we should be paying more attention for the sake of safety.

As your article points out China is getting a bit of a bad rap.  Recalls happen just as frequently with other manufacturers.  Findings of the date rape drug is a little scary thought.... wassup with that?

Oh, dear, this is sick on so many levels...
I could write a book about it, but I just don't want to. What an excellent nasty headline, juxtaposed innocence and savage disregard for it.
