Stupid school librarians. Banning fun and reality.
I wonder if she banned Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn like some did because he used the N word. No matter that in the context it was a lesson against racism, they banned the book. Shortsighted, stiffnecked, puritannical spoilers... Nobody objects to superior Bazoongas.

Yay Hooray for Bazoongas
Get a pair for Christmas.

You're absolutely right, Naut. Slinging slang like a pro and the parents
incommunicado due to lack of willingness to translate or to be translated to.  Generation gap begun by stupid ass posturing and exclusion.

Good Afternoon, Offy hon
I know, it's difficult to be surprised these days, for me too...

Re: Let me get this straight.....
Butterfly, 'spineless (and abysmally stupid) grandstanding' is just about right...

Let me get this straight.....
The school takes a stand about words like Bazoongas but does nothing when bullies terrorize other kids.Sounds like spineless grandstanding to me.Way to take a stand yourself Naut ,nothing will change unless someone speaks out.

Tattered
the banning of books, the banning of words...it comes too easy in our culture...

Re: Idiots. We have them all over the U.S. as well, Naut. Down here in
Saul, I think, that's the other side of this idiocy! By the time these kids can read, sort of, say around sixteen or seventeen, they have learned words the adults haven't even heard of yet...

Indeed! How stupid can things get? And this at a school, a place were one would expect thinking and good sense to be alive...

LOL......some people have too much time on their hands......to ban something so banal

Idiots. We have them all over the U.S. as well, Naut. Down here in
Georgia, a woman has tried to ban Harry Potter for the last three or four years (without success) and another young person's book was pulled from the shelves for having the word 'penis' in it.  The offending sentence actually was refering to a dog... What are people so afraid of?  And are they in so much denial?  Take a good listen to what children are saying when they don't think an adult can hear them.  Foul-mouthed little cretins, the lot of them.  Just like the adults...

feelings of a deep faith, it was because one of the ladies had the biggest pair I could ever imagine and I just couldn't stop staring at them and wondering. Yes I know I've always been an odd bod.

the banning is the mocking.....the writing was very creative and funny...

Nautikos
This is hysterical and ridiculously sad at the same time.  Do those people with the banning stick think children have no conceptual idea, and therefore words for....and conversations about......those things from which most of them drew sustenence, and all, at least some measure of comfort from a soft hug......I mean, goodgodalmighty, says James Brown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How stupid can things get?  It's a mocking of women, in my opinion....plain and simple.  I need a neck wringing icon...no! a head slapping one!
