Re: You can thank Walt Disney for this line of thought -- that animals
Well yes, Pat. And of course we are nothing but the means for our genes to propagate...and you have just given me the idea for yet another series...I can see my readers fleeing in droves already...

Whacky, you and I think alike..., and give the =^..^= a scratch behind the ears from me (actually, I had to search for his ears, don't use them too often...)

You can thank Walt Disney for this line of thought -- that animals

are endowed with human emotions and thought patterns.  Talking mice, birds that clean house (now there's an imaginative stretch), jungle cats that raise little boys to become good citizens instead of snacks, and now Bessie, a cow with personality, a cow with charisma, whose tragic end becomes a cause for mourning. Give me a break!

The prime directive of life is to survive long enough to reproduce and ensure survival of the species. Each species instinctively follows this basic rule -- except of course, the one at the top of the food chain.

Humans forget (or ignore) the prime directive, adopt "morals" and deny that every discovery since fire beyond that which gives us comfort and shelter, can weaken us, weaken our progeny. They may not run quite as fast, throw quite as far, climb out of the way of predators quite as well.  You see where this is going.

BrightIrish (and I hope that you won't mind if in future I'll shorten that
to BI, 'cause I find it awkward to type, especially with that capitalized "I" in the centre of things; you see, because of my limited typing skills I always try and write as little as possible, whenever possible, which, unfortunately, is not always the case, but then that's life I guess!), I'm glad you find something of interest here! I wish others would share your view...

I had the same problem, but then I realized I could replace all the family photos, and that solved it...

Yeah, you know, the things that say 'mooo', and give milk, or so I've been told - I get mine at the supermarket...milk, that is! Cow too, come to think of it, but it no longer says 'mooo', 'cause it's in pieces...

The post was interesting, but Offy has equaled it with this Cow Queen. What is that with a street. Who lives there? Not even cows I hope? Fun Post and comments page.
