Really! Bur of course, these things are never decided by just
one person! There must be a whole slew of complete idiots around...and what about the parents?

I know! It simply boggles the mind...And according to recent studies, whatever sort of education our kids are getting, both in American and Canadian schools, is damn poor, compared to that in some other countries...

I wonder if those in charge of our schools today know where babies come from. It isn't the cabbage patch. You can go to the nurse's office get a birth control pill but you will have to leave school for a kindness hug? Do our children need the sort of education they are getting in today's schools? Crazy as a loon. ????

Your sister I would probably hug as well, though personally I'd draw a line at your bald brother-in-law...

I still hug my sister in Effingham when I go to see her. Actually, I think I even hugged my bald-headed brother-in-law in public. What will those Illinoisians think of me?

Hi .. Where is good old common sense? There are times when I wish that I wasn't as old as I am but others when I'm glad to have grown up in a partially sane world without all the useless noise. If a child is willing to show empathy and concern toward a friend then we should be applauding the action!

It's not limited to Illinois....outbreaks of the same administrative disorder have occurred in Florida and Texas!

Sheer idiocy! Just like the fact that students can get expelled for giving another student an aspirin or a tylenol!

Funny how they can stop teen girls from being hug-buddies, but
they can't stop playground bullies and Columbine-style retaliations. I have no idea what those people are thinking -- It's Planet High School, a very different world from any place I'd want to be. I've been to Mascoutah. It doesn't look all that crazy from the outside.
