Fascinating. Cleveland has a Dead Man's Curve where the road takes a 90 degree turn and if you don't slow down . . . In Mentor ( East of Cleveland) I drove along Johnny Cake Ridge road all the time which was supposed to be an old Indian/pioneer trail. It went along the top of a ridge and often was the dividing line between heavy snow and light snow.
