- Go to Christmas Season, The Definition Of A Perpetrated Fraud
And you could be right, TAPS. Who am I to say? I simply choose
to enjoy the day as much as I can in hopes that just a little of the professed good will might actually actualize. To each their own myth, I say... I put on some Trans-Siberian Orchestra, mix me a Whiskey Sour, watch "A Christmas Story" and any other movie I might rent, and just hope my family has a good day. That works for me.

Antiquated is the day, but relevant is The Ancient of Days.
Commercialized is the season, but some hearts worship Him in spirit and in truth and with simplicity.
Ridiculously fraudulent is the choice of a day called that of His birth and some of the details where tradition reigns and money flows instead of The Son of God reigning in the hearts of mankind.
Manufactured cheer lasts about as long as the cast away, stripped tree and the broken toy, but the Joy of the Lord lasts for a lifetime.
The history, documented well enough for me, gives me reason enough to sing Silent Night and Joy to the World.
I could do without the day, without the season, but I am so thankful that I do not have to do without the One who is The Light of the World, The Prince of Peace that rules the heart in spite of there being no peace in the world.

Simplicity is the key, justanother. A natural garland, a wreath, some
holly or mistletoe, poinsettias, a candle or two. Nice. Simple. I'm totally with you on the department-store-in-the-front-lawn junkyard...

The very worst part of all the merry, to me, is
the way people decorate their yards up! I hate those inflatable snowglobes, snowmen, santas all. And the way those yards are lit up is such a waste of energy. Just give me a natural wreath for the front door and a pot of pointsettias.
