Please tell me where it says in the Bible that vengence is the Lord's -- or
was it justice? I'm serious. I've tried to find it because that's what I'd always heard....

Good writing & comments. It is a daily meditation & prayer, w/ many failures
What really helps me is two things, because my issues have to do with extended & nuclear family: Reminding myself that no matter how much I help others, it is at home that I need to give & forgive for "chairty" to make a real difference *& better world. The second...my family who live in another country have "stolen" as much of my personal and real estate property as they could... I did not fight, but let them know it is WRONG. I console myself that I cannot bring all those things & junk to USA. Yes, charity begins at home and only then can make the world better--one family at a time. shalom (see U at Kabob House, LOL)

jeff has a great comment below...forgiveness benefits us..if it sticks
in us all it leads to is bitterness..

...better to be a tunnel than a "grease trap"..

I'm forgiving, unless
I'm in a bad mood. Then the person will have to wait until I'm in a better mood. Great advice! Take care

MandaLee.........
I know it's much easier to forgive than hold a grudge or live with anger. I wish everyone could read your message.

We forgive to benefit ourselves.
not the person who wronged us.
