Pat_B - I know exactly what you mean
I think my sensibilities have been dulled by the constant regurgitation of the same old misconceptions. When I read an inane perspective these days I just move on, I can't be bothered entering into dialogue with anyone who is capable of holding such views. Maybe that is a sign of maturity?

I guess if you're feeling old, I'm ancient at 70+
I see the humor in the same venues you speak of. The problem is, sometimes the blankness and darkness, the ridiculous contentions aren't all that funny -- the comedy is dated and badly re-hashed. I catch my hackles rising, the urge to smite cometh upon me. I'm not sure whether it's the disrespect, their unexamined certainty, or their assumption that I've never been exposed to their delicious menu.

David1Spirit - how the heck have you been?
We have not had the pleasure of your company for far too long.

kooka_lives - I read a recent post by a person that could fit that bill
The contentions attempting to be made in the post were almost as big a joke as the blog's author.

sherristanley - thank you for the counseling for the aged.
Geez, I'm only in my early 50's, though there have been a few senior's moments lately, I'm not that old.

Ariala - sometimes the humor begins right with their user names
We've all seen a few where we broke out laughing the minute their user name appeared on Blogit. In some cases, the laughter came after we matched the user name with their posts.

Some of them have no idea what a 'joke' is
In fact it has come to my attention that a blogger who showed himself to have no sense of humor at all, and was 100% clueless about slang and word usage in the modern world has returned. This is the blogger I personally feel you based Captain Righteousness on. He has no clue how big of a joke he very often makes himself out to be.
