If you find a good one Keep him...

but if your new to that particular job, get more than one quote, and ask Q's, How long they been around, what do they gaurntee, and for how long, do they have references, and always ask friends who they might recommend... All the standard consumer procedures, I've done this with smaller companies to compare them to the Big Names... and found a lot of times the smaller guy gave better service!  They want to keep your business and word of mouth value!  Ask the same Q's of all the companies your comparing to make sure your looking at apples to apples, not apples to oranges.

That's my 2 cents worth!  Have a good day!

Well to me, the bigger the name company, the more they want to charge you for it.  I think some of the lesser known companies are fairing better in some industries as we are finding out we can get just a good a service for far less.  This may not always be so, though how many times have we spent so much high prices on big name companies to be dissatisfied, that is why these companies have such high complaint rates.  It's the same as someone spending £100 of brand trainers, only for a next person to spend £30 on a pair that does the same job etc.  Who do we trust???? Our instinct.

Bless

Regards

Look at how long they have been in business, check with the BBB and such. Paying too much is unwise, but paying too little can be just as bad.

Trust no one...
Until they have earned it.  Reputations can change, so one has to do a lot of homeowork these days.
