- Go to Embedded Collars and The Quilt
I want to cry every time I see those poor dogs. Usually the collar gets embedded becuase the owner has completely ignored the fact that there is a dog out there (obviously not the case with you), and most of the cases I've seen are a chain, not a proper fabric/plastic collar (I don't know what you'd call it, but you know what I'm talking about). So as long as your dogs collar doesn't cut his neck, he should be okay. You can also get your dog one of those microchips that they can scan and call your vet.

If your pet is well cared for and you don't neglect him or her, you have
nothing to worry about. Those cases are of pets with too-tight collars that are neglected. It's so sad.
