Well, beachbelle was before my time....but MayB wasn't!  I'm so sorry to hear about your medical issues....as they say, life is not for sissies (okay, I know they say growing old isn't, but I've changed it).  I didn't know .Dave very well, but was starting to read him regularly and really enjoyed what I had experienced.....regardless, the whole thing is simply not right.  I'm sorry for your personal loss and appreciate your sharing this post with all of us...it touched my heart....I'm still hoping they will reconsider.  The one upside to all of it has been seeing all reaction and activism....I hope Dave is aware.

I'm most sorry to hear about your visit to ER.
Hope everything is manageable.

Azur, it IS disappointing when some people leave the BN, er, Blogit

Oddly, the only one who was banned (as far as I know/so far) that I was conversant with was "Crabby". (Maybe  "vomit.on", also, but she allegedly quit). That case was illuminating, but maybe not typical. The day is young, though!.

The vast majority of folks I was interacting with left because they had outgrown BN/Blogit, or real life tore them away and it just didn't mean as much. One left because I debunked her sale pitch, and oddly that one was the most sobering because she really believed in it, but it was scientifically untrue and medically dangerous.

Azur, I was not a fan of .Dave. per se, although he made some good comments to some of my posts (still there, as of this minute), I've nothing to say fairly for or against. I have absolutely no idea why he's out. I respect your posts here, and doubly so because they aren't whiney/whinging screeches at The Machine or The Man, and they don't try to evoke the "It's not fair" and "First Amendment rights" childishness we have read in the past. (It is a compliment, either/both to your quality of posts or your editing prowess of comments, that your readers have not been of that irritating ilk).

Hang tough.

Azur, you and .Dave are clearly birds of a feather.. professional writers
and cheerleaders for others trying to hone the craft. I think I kinda fit in the flock, too, but that may be arrogance on my part.  This whole incident has distressed me, left me feeling vulnerable, confused.  The disturbance has cut into my focus on the marathon writing for NaNo writing month, and taken the shine off these days. So I'm going to give this situation a good think. Once my novel is drafted I'm going to decide whether the risks of this place are worth the rewards. I hope your medical problems turn out to be nothing serious, and the pain goes away quick.  Take care, and keep writing!!  :)Pat

I love what you guys are doing for Dave, Azur. I read his posts
occasionally but did not know him as well as so many of you do.  The support you guys are showing him is heartwarming.

I don't get it either, any of it. .Dave is pretty much the Blogit
definition for me, I was going to leave, but .Dave started to posting more again, so I was lingering on, reconsidering....and now this.

You have no idea how many times in the past he's made me laugh after a bad day, not even by having a bit of banter, but just by reading his posts.

I won't accept this banning as a paying member.

Powerful and heart rendering post, Azur
No need to apologize; none whatsoever. Dave made me feel comfortable about sharing my efforts; his comments and encouragement seemed to validate, because it was obvious he was/is the real thing - a writer. Minus a huge, feed me ego or condescending attitude - a real human being too. The loss to this site is immeasurable. Very sorry about your health difficulties; positive thoughts sent. Hope you will keep us updated, as much as possible.

I love Dave's humor too...He will be so missed! On another note I must say that I had a friend on here (she was banned too) but she often thought another blogger was beachbell. In fact she often accused the other blogger of being beachbell and would scream at her for not coming clean... and now that I realize it was you I must chuckle. Wonder if I should email her and tell her she was wrong all along? Nah......

I remember beachbelle. Bless you. Some of us who go way back do understand that there are some bullies on here and they have clout with Blogit for what reason I don't know. But so many good people have gone, many driven away and many simply couldn't take the badgering. This was so nice after all the stuff that has gone on! Thank you.

as a new blogger, I appreciate this story immensly; it solidifies in my heart that I've done the right thing in supporting Dave.
