I have one set of keys to everything except for my house. I have about six
housekeys.  The wife's son, my stepson, has lost three keys (two to our apartment and one housekey) since we've been in Georgia, which is two years.  There's an apple close to the tree, let me tell you...

Dang, I do the same thing!
It's insane. Don't lose anything else. Jest keys.

Keys do like to run away. I keep mine on a leash!

Now, that I've done more than a few times. I have the less than
exemplary ability to get into almost any car in less than five minutes, TAPS.  However, to make it easier on myself, I have begun leaving my window down about two inches, which gives me enough room to insert something to unlock my vehicle door.  Yeah, I might not lose keys, but I'm a master at leaving them and locking them inside my vehicle...

I don't think I've ever lost car keys, but my sons and I periodically rescue each other after we lock our keys in the car while out.  We each have extra sets to each other's cars for that reason.  LOL

Hi

I have the same tendency.   But I now have a special shelf inside the back door  The keys are put in a cupwhenI come inside, and always stay there.   My daddy told me to keep the keys by the door in case of fire I could  get out and have wheels.    that impressed me.
