Violence in Our World
All of us despise violence, whether it be real or vicarious -- or do we?  I look around and see no cessation of violence, let alone  any true desire to see it end.  I hear words.  Only words, blowing like dead leaves in the wind.  Sorry but that's the way I feel.  joab

We are creatures of mimicry, michaudblaine. We are shaped by both our
biology and our environment.  Every experience is incremental.  Every situation is influenced by thousands of variables.  Human proclivities for violence were present and accounted for long before television.  Being exposed to televised violence may increase the violent human behavior through mimicry, but it does not "cause" the violence.  That behavioral disposition or predisposition comes from within the individual and their perception of thier options...

The defense claims that a link is not sufficient evidence. It cannot be said definitively that TV CAUSES an increase in crime! Its Sad!
