Dave, just copying in my comment from above into the right place...
Just expressing my personal view here, Dave: I do think you owe Troosha an apology for the personal attack made on her. As you'll see when you read her blog, you've deeply hurt her and she is seriously on the brink of leaving Blogit. I'd like her to stay and I'm sure you would too.
Be clear about where I stand on this: whilst I don't agree with much of your theological argument - and have told you so in the past - I do acknowledge that you are entitled to hold such views and to some extent I'm coming to understand why you hold them. However, right now it is the personal attack on Troosha that I'm objecting to in this comment.
It's a free world - you don't have to - but personally I would like to see you retract the personal attack and help us to keep Troosha here.

The shadows are bad people, caught in the trap of the not-self, or intrinsically evil.They rely on force. If you retract your will power from use by not-self, re-concentrate it, use decisions to live...... then you have your original SANKALPA power back! You know what that can do!

The shadows chase you. Wherever you go they come along. When you run, they run along with you, and when you stop they too stop. To my way of thinking, shadows are nothing but the grey area created when one becomes an obstruction to light. And, you can't cut it with a sword. All that is required is to recognize shadow as a shadow, and it will fall off by itself.

You ask difficult questions. I do not support men or women. I stand for a science that teaches that the not-self/shadow must be decimated in order to get soul consciousness. If men or women are married to shadow, too bad! They have to learn to recognise it and dispense with it. As for Trooshas remarks...I will not be bothered with people seeking platitudinous support anymore. It is enough to face a harsh reality without people denying you your experiences. What I write is what I have been through. I survived! So give me credit for having a brain!

Predators can be men or women. Their force-power is formidable for weak people. I have narrowly escaped death a few times, from them. But then I'm back to kick their asses every which way I can! Ego is a real problem. It belongs to the shadow.... not the real you! Beat the shadow and you are in business.... but it is hard! Keep trying!

I was targeted for destruction! Never happened! People who disagree with me can be all kinds! Most of them are part of the evil, I know that much. Most do not even know that they are evil. It is the way things are done, they say! Then there are those in the know who wish that the straw they put will break the camel's back. I am in the seeing mode now! I have been victimised by this society in 2 continents and 5 countries. You cannot tell me that I am dreaming. The dating and courtship scenes of your youth has changed. There is a group of bad guys called predators who think that they are sex experts and take young virgins into sex school. This is done with society's blessings. Of course, these predators get to be intimate with other peoples daughters, before anybody else. Society condones this. It is called the GAME!

I'm having trouble understanding this post.....I really agree with Troosha's comments....I choose to live in this society and be with God in it, not let it beat me....I don't think society has to control us unless we let it. I appreciate your efforts and "heart" but also think there is great truth in Shakspear's line about looking inside when we find ourselves protesting too much. Finally, I would echo the question TAPS asks.....and also, you don't really think women are anything but wonderful do you?!!

I'm having the same trouble as a couple of people understanding some ideas here like "predator". Are the females the predators or the prey? I think I've been both in my time, lol.
I agree with your last paragraph that, society in general promotes materialism, desire, and most of all, a desire for superiority. All religions say the ego must be destroyed first to approach God, but the nature of the ego and sin varies according to ideology

At the risk of repeating myself you seem really plugged-in to the notion that society, in general, is our enemy; stripping us of our spiritual capacity and tarnishing our emotional and physical health. I don’t live in lah lah land, nor do I reside in a meadow of green grass and fruitful flora but I see abundance around me. The smile on a shopkeeper’s face, the old gentleman who holds the door, the eccentric guy who collects bottles and nods with kindness when I give him a bag full, the person on the other end of the phone (after being on hold for an inordinate amount of time) demonstrating a sense of humour, or the gas jockey who takes but a moment to say “have a nice day” – all evidence that the even amidst the hustle and bustle of the world, there is kindness. The very act of exchanging a smile is a soulful experience and although I agree we must take time to “connect” and commune with our God, it’s also important to not miss God’s moments in day to day events.
I chose not to walk in the opposite direction but rather synchronize my foot steps with those who are filled with goodness and have a slight skip to their step.

I would agree with Tony that you are obviously passionate about your
