Thanks, TAPS
Bubbles seems to thrive on her diet as well - it's the plants that are suffering...

Beautiful cat, Nautikos
Pitiful nibbles on a plant just like that one with the long skinny leaves. She also keeps my asparagus grass trimmed. Neither of those things seem to hurt her.

Re: She is a beauty! Do you have any catnip for her?
Whacky, we do occasionally buy some catnip for her as a treat, and she always goes bananas over it...

Re: We have an abundance
Even here, Corbin. We used to live on the edge of town, and they were always around. We have long since ceased being at the edge of town, but the coyotes don't seem to mind...

Charm seems to be of the same charming disposition as Bubbles. Pet store grass? 'Make yourself a salad', Bubbles says. She will only eat house plants. And yes, she's the only Queen in the house. We had another cat, but she drove her mad, literally...Maybe I should introduce her to the neighborhood coyote...

Thanks, but Bubbles doesn't eat 'kitty grass', or grass of any kind. She eats plants...

When she was a kitten, she was cute and bubbly, so when we had her baptized, the minister thought the name Bubbles was appropriate. Unfortunately she underwent a personality change. She now is a Queen, the ruler of the house.
And yes, we really do have coyotes here, and I'm not talking of myself, I'm a wolf.

Re: Re; Bubbles
Robert, I don't know much more about cats than I do about plants, so you may well be right that it's a Maincoon, though she thinks she's a Queen...

Good idea! The problem is, I'd have to catch the scurrying mice first, and that's difficult, 'cause that ain't in
my genes...

Charm has very thick fur and she grazes on my plants all the time....she will not eat the pet store plants that are supposed to be for her.....nooooo, she wants my plants....which she grazes on and then throws up; this morning I stepped in a moist pile of it straight out of bed......yukkkkkk! I don't know why I insist on this power struggle with her about it, the plants grow stubbier and the carpet spottier.....but I love greenery.....and I love Charm. Bliss only nibbles occasionally. Bubbles is beautiful, btw. Doesn't look like a Maine Coon in this photo. Is she an only cat? I don't think fear of letting her outside is irrational....I don't let mine out either.....I couldn't take the guilt if anything happened to them....and I have coyotes at one of my places and a fox in the backyard at the other one.....and too many cars at this apartment!

we grow pots of 'kitty grass' for Mister Cat- he loves to munch it and it's very healthy for him too. Pet food stores sell the seeds and sometimes even the grass....

Naut:
On my way home, I'll have to get plants for my cat. Maybe she will not mess up everything else on the floor. Cats do the darndest things to upset, yet you grow to prize them more. What a pleasant contradiction.

P.S.

Re; Bubbles
Hi Nautikos. Your cat look like a Maincoon. I have two Maincoons. Just like yours mine also eat grass, including the end parts of lemon grass, at least once a day. The reason is they want to expell/vomit out the fur balls in their tummies by vomitting them out. That is why after eating the grass, they will definitely vomit. My cats are also not interested in rats or fish as they eat only dry or canned food stuffs.
