Ewe! LOL
That had to be pretty nasty.  Yes, you have to be real careful to not end up with some unwelcome circumstances.
I often use the Wiccan Rede, or an alteration of it for that very purpose.  I don't want anything that's going to be more trouble than it's worth.

Sunny, you know the saying be careful what you wish for? One time years
ago, I was experimenting with all this and was VERY ANGRY...I took that anger and DEMANDED some financial relief through a very concentrated amount of time...well, that same week, my basement flooded and the water department paid for the whole thing. I ended up with $8,000!  LOL  It came at a high price -- sewage in my basement and loss of a lot of stuff...it was a major inconvience, but it taught me to be careful the mood I take into meditation and focus!   Well, I don't know if I learned the first time, as I tried it a second time when I was very pissed off at finances and it happened again ROFL...It was sort of a "scientific experiment."  Umm, I now believe haha

I would LOVE those books! Of course I have so many books here, some of them I've never even opened. lol.
It can be hard to stay focused on one thing, especially when that one thing leads to so many other things.

I was also surprised, my first time, how well things work.  But yes, it's all part of the focus and belief.

LOL, I like vanilla cherry, sandalwood and two others that are

mixed and I have no idea what's in them...One is called Love and the other Meditation.  I recently "worked hard" meditating and focusing on selling my property...it's been tough in this declining house market.  It worked...plus, I paid off most of my credit card debts...yes, the phases of the moon can work either way depending on how you word your request and how you focus your mind.

I am truly amazed at how well it all works...you would love my "library" of books LOL...I have a rather "controversial" library LOL

Unless I am very desperate, I try to work with the moon phases.

When I can, I like to work with the new or full moon....preferably the new moon.
You can always achieve what you want, waxing or waning, like you can use one to attract money, the other to banish debt.

What kind of incense do you use?  I like burning dragon's blood and herbs and such, but I HATE using those charcoal disks.  They are so hard to light, and they REEK!

During waxing moon, all things growth and abundance...waning, just the
opposite...I burn green, pink and red candles, sometimes blue...I understand the subtle frequencies of colors, scents, etc.  I have a really good meditational incense I burn, too...I try to engage all the senses, including putting on some good, instrumental music.

Let me know how it goes if you do!

EXACTLY!  I wish that more people had that understanding, but I guess it's not so easy to understand.

I always like to have my appropriate colors of candles to use...though I have found that the white ones work quite well.

I always burn green candles it seems...I make my own oil mixes and
have great recipes for all kinds of "purposes."  The power of the mind and intention is amazing whether we call it a spell, an affirmation or a prayer...
