Re: Jokester

Amazing...twice??  Lucky you  Late?  And THAT late?  Yikes!  I imagine the best of mother-in-laws to be would lose points with that blunder.  Did they go on with the show, or did they wait for her arrival?

Thanks so much for reading and sharing.  If you really do like reading, as your profile states...I have a few short stories born of life experiences and some other random writings in my "COME CLOSER YOU.  CLOSER!  EVEN CLOSER" blog.  I value feedback on my writing skills from experienced readers, as I become more driven to "really" write.

Hope to see you back soon - I'm trying to post in this blog each day, if you'd be interested in coming back for more "can you relate" stories!

Make today a good one!

Mine went off without a hitch...twice!  But...my poor daughter.  Her mother-in-law was 45min late.  To this day, she's not too fond of her mom-in-law!

Re: Troosha

Oh, but the mother of the bride's outfit absolutely counts.  I'm sure with a little inspired detail, the story would entertain the masses!!

Lovely - thanks for sharing, good to hear from you again

Re: White Elephant

Yes, ultimately being the bride led to quite a nightmare for years to follow.   And, to further detail.......the wedding video has the cutest, most impressive move by "superherodaddy!"  Somehow, in the midst of pure fatherly reaction and concern, my dad had the wherewithal to "leap" over the runner in the isle.....guess he thought it was just not right to walk on his daughter's sacred path to wedded bliss!

Thanks for reading and for the laugh!!

Re: richinstore

Surprised face for two reasons - #1 The bread, up the nose and, (bonus) the Father's sneeze launching that priceless aim!  Question - was it more embarassing for you, or for HIM??  #2 Your story is a great example of my "experiment" with this blog.  My memory/moment somehow led you to yours - the common denominator between the two, is soley the experience in a church and has nothing to do with weddings, paint fumes or fainting!  That is cool, or am I just really bored??

I'm not sure what conclusion, if any, I hope to draw from the respones, but for some reason, this blog idea is fun and interesting to my writer's blocked brain right now.  Now, if this or any of my other moments posted inspire you to write a detailed version of your moment - that would be the cherry on the cake of my blog.

Thanks for reading and sharing!

No "blooper" bride/wedding stories on my end.  Unless you count my mother overdressed in a white lace number when I, the bride, was wearing an off white, knee length dress.

I did not experience this because I wasn't married in a church. But, I did experience this: as the Father was feeding me a piece of 'bread' one Sunday morning, he suddenly sneezed. Instead of entering my mouth, the bread went into my nose! What an embarassing moment.
