alone are the only sentient life forms in all the vast universe. But I would play spoiler and add to your assessment that some other sentient life presence may receive signals from our world long after we've become extinct...

Well, he might have, although, assuming that he came from somewhere in the Alpha Centauri system, it must have taken almost 4.5 years for his call to arrive at the other end, and the same time again for him to hear his Mom's voice...

It is interesting how beliefs change over time. Speaking of time, I don't believe in it either. Time & space I mean, so there actually is no 'getting to another place or waiting to contact other intelligent life forms, because they are here already.' Run a poll on that aye?

And as far as 'believers' go, do they say there isn't other life forms? The bible speaks of such; can't remember where, but I know it does. And of course there are as well, other God's surrounding other universes (plural) and I know because God told me so.

Now stick that in your porcelain encased snuff box and snort it! Huu! (I'm being huffy). It's late, I get this way. Sweet dreams. Mwuuuaaaa....
