This reminded me of The Little Prince
When the protagonist wanted to be a geographer at age 6 and he was discouraged by his family because they didn't understand his drawings.

Good luck--
--in searching for your happiness. I think it is an ever-continuing search, as we find one happiness and then change with it and learn to find other joys as well.
Thanks for the thoughtful entry, it makes me think about my own life and it's a good reminder to keep everything in perspective.

obvious a man can fulfill my needs so I need to do something for others and keep them from falling into the same traps I did

As a matter of fact, I am working at something that makes me happy.
Writing. Volunteering at the library. it's all good.

THE REASON FOR LIVING . . .
IMO first obligation: know your self, because, if you don't, your inner person is confused and striving. So hard. So difficult to do. Not "pretend" for emotional reasons, but to truly find that spiritual "spark" that ignites each of us. Once we understand it, many other "things" can seemingly just "fall into place." I'm still attempting; still falling on my butt; but I decided that's part of the "process" toward understanding. Sorry about the long response, but your post is a good one -- and needed.

i suspect you are a very loving person, but sometimes we think that
there is only one type of love , that we give to a man. maybe you will fulfill your loving feelings by helping other women not make that same mistake, but to love themselves first, and if they are lucky enough to find a companion, ok, but if not, that is ok too.

its funny you say that as I never understood why God took my dad a good giver of love, but he put me here to take his place

good for you lustor, there is nothing more noble than wanting to help
others. it gets our minds off of ourselves and that is probably why it makes people happy to help others. you go girl, it's never to late to do the things you want to, only death should keep us from it.
