The Jesus Prayer
Interesting! I haven't practised the Jesus prayer, but I've heard that it is very effective to awaken the spirit. A friend gave me a book about this form of prayer.
I think there are numerous 'kinds' of voices. The seemingly physical (but disembodied) voice. The mental voice. And then there is the pure nugget of understanding that somehow is planted in one's conciousness.
