saul_relative - your comment is right on point and too funny when you think
about it.
A related point brought up in comments awhile back: if atheists are responsible for these urban legend human sacrifices, just who do people capable of proliferating this bullshit think that atheists are sacrificing these humans to? Sadly, the definition of an atheist could not be any simpler than it already is; a person who does not believe that God exists. There are no synonyms for this word, as words such as "godless" imply a different connotation. . . . but none of this seems to stop the more accomplished of the simpering idiots.

Excellent post, gomedome. My favorite ploy that Christians and others use
are that atheists are Satanists or devil worshipers. Look, you simpering idiots, for the last time, you must believe in your benevolent god to believe in his opposite. Satanists and devil-worshipers are the anti-you. Not atheists. Atheists believe in letting both sides delude themselves...

Antonionioni - there have been a few intent on "proving" that all atheists
are not unfairly depicted through negative propaganda by twisting or denying reality.
One retarded individual comes to mind who has utilized misquotes, deception and blatant lies to "prove" that atheists are people of inferior character. It would be funny if this person was not such an object of pity. How can we not pity an otherwise reasonably intelligent person rendered effectively retarded by their religiously induced fixations?

They twist reality to suit themselves. It's all so childish.

FineYoungSinger - let me fill in the blanks
"all of us are just bozos on this bus".
Was that close? I stopped by your new post last evening but couldn't think of anything intelligent to add in comment . . . maybe next time.

I know several atheists.
I guess 10--each has their own ideas, own relationships, own value systems, own understanding of life....the ONLY thing they have in common is their denial of the existence of God.
Vilifying others is just too easy, because it requires no personal investment in another person--a process which is far more rewarding than just saying "all _____ are _______".
Great post, gome.
