Hi Troosa. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. Yes there are so much poetic freedom that we simply cannot tie ourselves down to one interpretation. What I mean may carry a different meaning to someone else.

Lines like “willing to die to own her soul” or “a trophy for me to select” always make me a little twitchy. But I’ll concede that poetic freedom sometimes spins a different picture than how we truly think or feel. I prefer to think of love as finding someone who will compliment who we are versus finding someone who will fulfill us or become “ours”.
