I don't know what it is,
but people always want me to trust them with my kids but never want to trust me with thiers.... weird..
but if her kid is always at your house anyway, that is even weirder... does she not like your driving?

I have never once been disappointed when I read a post of yours. You are a balanced person. Yes it is good to give, freely give. It is also good not to allow others to take advantage of you. God promises us he will take care of all our needs when we give, give freely and joyously. I am like you I love doing that. It is not always accepted, but when it is I am happy, but I too want just an acknowledgment that lets me know that what I did was okay just thanks etc., Love you lady you are a fine woman.

you my dear friend are the last of your kind that world is no more, people dont trust a soul, theres only takers left, which sucks because if they could only remember that there is more happieness in giving then there is in recieving there would be alot more smiles on faces, but that is lost in this hecktick world that aint gettin any better, keep up your giving cuz when you stop......thats it you are the last of the last. so thank you.

LOL...I know exactly how you feel, Symphony. I don't give to receive, either. In fact, if someone offers to pay me, either with money or in some other way, I always feel uneasy.
I once wrote a prayer for a Scotish friend of mine, and when I gave it to him, he asked me why I'd written it and went on to say that he could never have written anything so beautiful for me.
I promptly told him that I didn't write it to receive anything in return, and that was the end of it. But it broke my heart.
I agree, people take each other's kindness totally the wrong way nowadays.
Sad, isn't it?

Symph, I just assume people won't appreciate anything
and do things anyways. It makes me feel good even if they don't thank me. Hugs!!!

I know a lot of people do, but I'm not one of them. I think it's totally wrong.

The gift of giving is often receiving a simple smile or the sweet words of "thank you". People, unfortunately, have forgotten how joyful "give and take" can be. They turn it into something complicated.

You're right Lady, it seems that people are so cautious these days
which, I suppose, is to be expected in the world we live in; frustrating though isn't it not to mention a sad reflection on our society today when you view even your neighbour with such caution!
