An excellent post........
Thank God we have people like Dr. Wheeler who tells it like it is........We need to do whatever it takes to prevent any of these groups from getting a bomb i their hands.....You both are right...the threat of nuclear war is small when compared to this threat.
As to the psychic thing.......I'll take a good old "Magic 8 Ball" every time over so called "Psychics".........

For my comments on the nature of nuclear war.
As for your apparent belief in the psychic world, I would love for you to check this out. James Randi has a standing offer of $1 million to anyone anywhere who can demonstrate any kind of psychic ability under controlled circumstances. This is a no-strings-attached offer. All the applicant need do is comply with Randi’s rigorous scientific protocol. Of course, since he put up this prize twenty years ago, nobody has successfully claimed it. The typical reason losers give is that the scientific controls stifle the psychic energy, or some other such silliness.
The bottom line is, my friend, the “real world” is all we have, and you better get used to it!

The dangers of nuclear war have been grossly overestimated. I don’t mean to minimize the suffering and death that would result, nor the horrific immediate consequences of a nuclear strike, but on a global scale, we have all been deliberately mislead. It started with Carl Sagan who purposefully took the known results of a thermonuclear explosion, and projected them to thousands of such explosions, while carrying all the error calculations to their maximum in the direction of maximum global effect. The result was what he called “Nuclear Winter.” He scared the crap out of all of us. We eventually reached a consensus with our opponents to reduce our nuclear stockpiles, at least in part due to Sagan’s dire predictions.
The truth is actually much less severe and consequential. In the first wartime use of nuclear weapons, tens or even hundreds of thousands of lives on both sides were saved by their use – lives that would have been lost resulting from an invasion of Japan, and their fighting to the last man to protect the home islands. Similarly, their judicious use in today’s world would save countless lives – especially OUR lives. And the actual results from a nuclear strike, or even all-out nuclear war are not nearly so dire as Sagan predicted. I have written about this elsewhere in detail. The bottom line is that nuclear war is completely survivable, without the loss of civilization.
Since we know what Iran is planning, and since the Islamofascists have clearly told us their intentions, I think we should strike out fast and hard, to eliminate the problem before it gets out of hand.

arGee - I read the accreditation and to a certain extent I derive the same
type of reaction from it as you do.
We are having our hand forced by those who not only have similar ambitions to us but derive their justification for doing so directly from what they perceive as oppressive actions by us. Where grievances between nations must be looked at in an objective light in terms of who is right or wrong, their actions are further exacerbated by the irrational influence of religion. This simple fact to a great extent completely overshadows any notions of perceived oppression by one nation over another, it becomes merely a matter of survival and winning. In effect they have introduced an abstract justification for their actions that is irrelevant to any notion of pursuing national ambitions in the same manner that we have.
They instead want to convert us to their archaic philosophies or kill us, with no practical considerations as to the survival of the planet or even their own survival. To see instances where their plans are meeting with some failure is cause for some restrained celebration. There is no winner if they manage to escalate the conflict that they have chosen to engage us in but the alternatives are much bleaker.

I'm sorry! I should have indicated why I said that. Just before I commented, I was on spiritualresearchfoundation.org. The psychics there gave me the following info : In 2017 the Middle East will be razed to the ground. In 2018 America, China and Japan will suffer great casualties, India will lose 50% of its population. How can I accept that an escalation is the answer, when such calamities await us? India has a psychic tradition unrivalled in the world!

You may not completely understand the situation, Soul Builder...
Both Syria and Iran are completely complicit in supplying weapons and personnel for use directly against us. This is NOT opinion, but solid fact. Furthermore, Iran is threatening to unleash nuclear war on the entire planet to further its version of militant Islam. The world cannot let this happen. I don't understand your allusions, but nobody has programmed me, Soul Builder. I, alone, am responsible for everything I do, as are you.

I detect some bloodthirstiness in you. These people have not attacked us! In fact your prognostications of an easier 'feed' has been contested by Joe Vialls in 2004. He is dead now! How are you going to stop the onyx and the sunburn. You are being programmed away from seeking peace. Yet the prophecy must be fulfilled! So ten years from now, your ego will be shattered, after inflicting much damage! these are the punishments for evil, who play too much video games!

arGee - In this article there is a sense of pure glee that you impart but
I fully understand why someone could feel this way.
Though the western powers can be as bad in promoting their own self serving agendas as our friends in the middle east, we are simply safer and much better off if we are holding most of the cards. Ya also gotta love that Russian technology, in broad terms they have the talent and capability to match us but somehow never seem to.
