Your stuff is fun to read. Here's my story of bad internet connections.
A few weeks after we moved to Florida the internet connection starts going wonky-- as in working sometimes, then hours later not working, etc. no rhyme or reason. So we try all sorts of stuff but eventually call the repair man. And of course, when he comes it's working. He checks the outside box anyway and comes back in the house with a big grin. " I've found the source of your problems. It's frog pee." Apparently there was a hole on the top of the box and it being Florida, there is this big frog perched on top and when it goes--we lose the connection and when it dries. . .

Re: bandanafish
I already tried that but it didn't work, so that's why I called them and they gave me this report number. At least the problem was fixed by saturday.

Thank you.

Argh
Hate those days--hope the next day or two were great to make up for it!!
Also, wanted to say thanks for your recent comments in my blogs. My internet is unexpectedly limited, so I chose to visit other people's blogs, instead of answering comments in my own. So, I wanted to say thank you here!

Re: When I have internet connection problems, the first thing I do
That is what our (usually not) local phone technicians suggest in any and all cases:
Caller (on cell phone): My telephone pole seems to have fallen down in the storm.
Technician: Why don't you try unplugging every phone and modem in the house; wait 30 seconds and then plug everything in and see if you get internet service and hungry.
Caller: Hungry?
Technician: Good. My cousin Raj runs a restaurant in your area...

When I have internet connection problems, the first thing I do
is unplug the power of my modem, wait for 30sec to 1min, plug it back in, and that usually solves whatever difficulties I have. See, I don't trust those phone technicians (from bad past experiences), so you can maybe try the trick above and hopefully it'll fix it. Good luck!
