Personally, I'm not a particularly huge fan of period pieces (other than "Amadeus" and "Restoration").
Does it have to be a recent movie, btw?
If so, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" was the best movie I've seen in the past five years.
If it doesn't have to be a "current" film, what did you think of "Paperhouse"? Or "Picnic at Hanging Rock"?
