Thanks Saul, and I think you may be right about Hillary Clinton. The Democratic establishment is prepared to anoint her the way they did John Kerry.

Then again, I think whatever Democrat is chosen to run, that person will win the general election. But the victory may be in spite of the candidate (i.e. because of the Republicans' unpopularity) not because of her.

Right you are, davideskin. Sadly, I don't think Edwards will get a chance
to apply his plan.  He's so far behind... The Democrats are making a mistake backing Hillary.  She can't win.  She galvanizes the right and many independents.  They hate her more than they dislike any certain Republican.  Even with Edwards as a running mate, I think she'll lose...

Class consciousness

I like Edwards's honest class consciousness. He's not afraid to impugn the injustice of a society with such enormous class divisions.

More importantly, he's willing to call for the tough redistributive policies we need to have a more equal and opportunity-giving society.
