Good for you for buying those books, Rob. If you can keep yourself laughing or happy, you'll be all right. I've never heard of either of those authors, but my favourite is an English fellow named Nicolas Evans. I couldn't finish his second novel though...
It dealt with the killing of wolves, and some of the scenery was way too graphic and detailed for my liking. I've yet to start his third novel, or any of the other books now clustering my flat in nearly every room.
I really must read Michael Crawford's book, PARCEL ARRIVED SAFELY, TIED WITH STRING. I've read bits and pieces of it, and I love his wicked sense of humor. I'd still love to meet him if I ever have the chance.
I absolutely abhore romance novels of any kind, though I've been thinking of writing a romantic short story or two. And yes, you've guessed it, the main character will be a heroine! (I suspect knowing myself as I do she'll be physically challenged, as well).
How's the novel coming? Do let me know when you've got it out there and I'll make sure to buy a copy of it.
Once more, goodonya for running that marathon yesterday!...
Hope you're well Rob.
