Well that person was on the right track when he/she asked you that.

How it matamorphosed you was great, Matie.

I am my most prolific after a bit of melancholy, Matie. Funny, I was
asked at age 13 if I'd ever thought of being a writer...

Re: white_elephant

I was torn in the same way! Even now I feel that the inner kid in me hasn't really died. Just changed her name, ehem, *fangirl* cough cough.

Thanks for coming by.

Re: 7stars
It's reminiscent and this can inspire you to write something that resembles the old you. Thanks for coming by.

Re: joab1
Just relax and be zen about it. It will flow when it will, regardless of how redundant may sound.

so true Matie ...
I guess that age is the "transition period" isn't it? ... when you're no longer a kid but not really a grown up! - yeah I remember those days perfectly - man was I messed up!!?! ... I never really wanted to make the "transition" - I sort of had decided that staying a "kid" would be more fun so yeah I was a bit depressed: asking too many philosophical questions!!! and getting no real answers! ... questions like: Why are we here?, etc - hang on ... that's what my blog's called!!!!!! OMG am I having a relapse or something?

Matie
at the age of 13 or 14  ... you're in your depressive year... a year when you're slowly developing into maturity with trials and tribulations coming into you way.

I still have my writings too.
I agree with the other comments that we can see how far we've come. It is kinda neat to read the "old" you.  Take care

I think it is a search to understand, and when you do, you can tell you've grown!

Comment on Depressive writing
It's not so much the writing is depressing; it's all those damn rewrites trying to pin a thought to paper. joab
