I HAVE FEW GOOD FRIENDS, ONE BEST FRIEND....

I am so blessed. My husband is both my husband and my best friend. I love him but more importantly I like him. I have moved a lot in my life and I have friends I am still in touch with from various places. I have one friend I have kept in touch with for more than 50 years, I have many in many places who are really friends. But three that are near me one is my daughter and one is my husband. I can call on either of these three for anything I need. It works both ways of course.

Interesting post! The problem with it is, as with most of your posts,  it forces me to reflect even if I don't wanna, LOL!

I think for most people 'best friends' are something one has in one's pre-adolescent years, or maybe a little later, but that the category no longer really applies after that. I had a best friend until I was about twelve or thirteen, then his family moved away, and that was that. We did remain in contact for a while, but, like my first love, this friendship faded rapidly.

I have many friends, and even some very good friends, but I do different things with different people. In one sense I am 'best friends' probably with my brothers - even though we don't have that much regular contact. 'When the chips are down' and I needed some real help for whatever reason, I know I can count on them, just as they can count on me...

I'm blessed with many friends
and my relationships with them are too fluid to categorize them. I wouldn't want to anyway.

I am truly blessed.
I have a best friend in my husband; a sister and a sister-in-law and 3 wonderful friends that rank barely a notch below him.  Not to mention dozens of people that I know I can count on (because they've come through before) when doo-doo hits the fan.
