Ophelia
Wow - this is absolutely stunning and what a wonderful tribute to a troubled yet ever so talented writer!!!!!  Extremely well done!

Re: Sylvia would be proud.
'Sylvia would be proud' is the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me about that poem - thank you so much :)

And yikes, I better not get started on my TH feelings (which sway from one side to another constantly and have done for 20 years!)

I don't think he drove her to it, though - there's too much more to it than that. And I don't think anyone blamed himself for it more than he did.  ha... I would say "hey, read my book about it!  but I still haven't written it... " ;)

Sylvia would be proud.
I have to say, though, Ted Hughes, though a brilliant poet in his own right, was a total pig for a husband.  If you ask me, he drove her to it.

Re: Excellent - love it.
Thank you very much - that means a lot coming from someone else who is interested in them.   I still haven't been to SP's grave, must do one day - have just seen the houses near me in London where she lived.  I love 'Birthday Letters.'

Excellent - love it.
I recently went to Sylvia's grave, and have also recently read Ted Hughes' Birthday Letters.
