Unfortunately, neslo, the world is no different today than it was thirty or
fifty or a hundred years ago, just more people and better information access.  More people mean more sociopaths and more pedophiles and more opportunity for them to do their heinous deeds.  With instant mass communications we have access to the information of the heinousness of these acts.  The world isn't different, neslo, we just percieve it as such through better communication and information access.  We are all a little less innocent due to this access.  I guess, in that regard, the world is a different place than years ago.  Remember, in some cases, ignorance is bliss... or is it?
